Curtis Wright

Marketing Communications Consultant

Curtis Wright has more than 35 years experience in business management, marketing and advertising. He was a founding partner of his advertising agency in 1969, and as its CEO, led it until his early retirement in 2002, helping to build Battenberg, Fillhardt & Wright into one of the leading advertising agencies in Silicon Valley.

Curt is also an accomplished copywriter. To his credit he lists more than 300 international, national and regional awards for his creative work, as well as the American Advertising Federation Silver Medal as Silicon Valley “Ad Pro of the Year.”

From 1986-1990, Curt was a member of the Morgan Hill (CA) City Council, and was mayor, 1988-89. He has also held officer and director positions with numerous community and professional non-profit organizations, spanning more than 30 years of civic involvement, and has received many awards for his service, including Morgan Hill “Citizen of the Year.”

Curt and his wife moved to Corvallis in 2005 to be near their grandchildren. He has since become active in the community. He is a member of the 2007 class of Leadership Corvallis. He is also a member of the steering committee for the Corvallis-Benton County economic development plan,  “Prosperity That Fits,” and serves on the boards of a number of other Corvallis nonprofits, in addition to The BEC.
