D. Michael Brown is currently exploring creating a new business with ZAPS Technologies an early stage startup company located in Corvallis, Oregon. In addition, Michael has also started his own consulting company named BTCG to provide services for new business creation.

At HP, Michael recently created a new business in "trusted hardcopy",
global enterprise security methods and practices geared towards simplifying and speeding the verification of printed documents. He has over two decades of business experience in high-tech and
industrial companies. Michael has held worldwide responsibility for future product marketing and business strategy for Digital Projections and Imaging, a variety of management positions in product development, general management, business development, engineering, and marketing,
all geared towards new business creation.

He began his career with W. L. Gore and Associates where he developed
new products and businesses in Automatic Test equipment, Medical Electronics and Medical Products. At Compaq, Michael was general manager of Entertainment Products which included Digital Projectors, Portable Audio and Home Entertainment.

Mr. Brown holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with advanced studies in Aerodynamics and is the holder of several patents. He currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors at the Business Enterprise Center.
